Peter Popham will examine how Gandhi achieved this\, and what his legacy is today. Why was Churchill\, effective in war\, powerless to stop him? \nPeter Popham\, based in London\, developed a fascination with Gandhi while serving as The Independent’s India correspondent\, which inspired his acclaimed novel India Be Damned\, featuring Gandhi as a central character. He has also authored several other books\, including the global bestseller The Lady and the Peacock. \nDoors open at 2.30 pm for refreshments and socialising.
