Membership Fees
Our membership year runs from 1 September to 31 August of the following year. The membership fees for 2024–25 will be posted here once they have been decided by the Board of Trustees.
Online Renewal
This is our preferred method of renewing your membership. It’s quick and easy, but it requires an account on the Members Portal. If you already have registered for an account, simply click this link, enter your email address and password, and select the option to renew.
If you have an account on Beacon (e.g., as a group leader), this is separate from the Members Portal.
Please contact the Membership Secretary if you want to rejoin after a break or if you want to add or remove a partner from joint membership.
Registering for the Members Portal
The advantage of registering for the Members Portal is that it not only lets you renew online, you can also check whether your membership is up to date, download a digital membership card, and update your personal details in our membership database.
Make sure you know your HGS u3a membership number before registering. Contact the Membership Secretary if you don’t know it.
To register, click this link, ignore the email and password fields at the top of the form, and click the link to register an account at the bottom of the form. There’s a short video that guides you through the registration process if you have difficulties.
Bank Transfer
If you don’t want to use the online payment system, please pay by electronic bank transfer to the following account (and email treasurer@hgsu3a.uk to say you have paid):

Payment by Cheque
If you are unable to pay by electronic bank transfer, we will accept a cheque; but this attracts a £2 surcharge to cover administration costs. Please make the cheque payable to HGSU3A and write your name and address on the back. Send the cheque to the following address:
